Cintas Corp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended February 28, 2010. For the quarter, the company's total revenues were $861,812,000 against $908,639,000 a year ago. Operating income was $84,011,000 against $119,308,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes was $72,858,000 against $107,441,000 a year ago. Net income was $48,982,000 or $0.32 per basic and diluted share against $71,811,000 or $0.47 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Capital expenditures were $30,836,000 against $36,826,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes, excluding charges was $72,858,000 against $107,441,000 a year ago. Net income, excluding charges was $48,982,000 or $0.32 per diluted share against $71,811,000 or $0.47 per diluted share a year ago. For the nine months, the company's total revenues were $2,637,890,000 against $2,896,002,000 a year ago. Operating income was $289,291,000 against $387,488,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes was $254,194,000 against $351,717,000 a year ago. Net income was $160,142,000 or $1.04 per basic and diluted share against $222,285,000 or $1.45 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Cintas Corp. plans to make acquisitions. Bill Gale, CFO of the firm said, Reflecting the strong cash flow and confidence in our business, last week we paid an annual dividend of $0.48 per share, continuing our practice of raising the dividend every year since going public in 1983. We continue to be very disciplined in making acquisitions, but continue to search for great opportunities at good values. During this quarter, in addition to some small US-based document management and fire service acquisitions, Cintas expanded its presence in the Document Management business in Europe by purchasing a company in Belgium. Combined with our prior European acquisitions in the Netherlands and Germany, we continue to see great opportunities with this business in Northern Europe.
