The Board of Clear Media Ltd. announced that Mr. Christopher William Eccleshare has been appointed as non-executive Director of the company with effect from October 15, 2009. Mr. Eccleshare has also been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board and Chairman of Remuneration Committee of the company with effect from the same date. Christopher William Eccleshare, aged 53, is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Clear Channel International. CCI operates the outdoor businesses of Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc., the holding company of the company, in Europe and Asia. Prior to his appointment by CCI effective from September 2009, Mr. Eccleshare was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BBDO Europe, one of the marketing communications agencies, where he was responsible for all advertising, direct marketing, digital, and public relations agencies. Prior to that position, Mr. Eccleshare was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Young & Rubicam EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

Clear Media Ltd. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first half ended June 30, 2009. For the quarter, the company has posted profit attributable to equity holders of HKD 28,469,000 or 5.43 cents diluted per share on revenue of HKD 526,644,000 compared to profit attributable to equity holders of HKD 68,328,000 or 12.96 cents diluted per share on revenue of HKD 600,315,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit before tax was HKD 39,766,000 compared to HKD 94,904,000 for the same period a year ago. Net cash inflow from operating activities were HKD 28,996,000 compared to HKD 29,241,000 for the same period a year ago.
