CPST Capstone Turbine Corporation featured news, full reports, and detailed charts
Capstone Turbine Corporation (CPST) Wrap Up:
We develop, manufacture, market and service microturbine technology solutions for use in stationary distributed power generation applications, including cogeneration (combined heat and power (“CHP”) and combined cooling, heat and power (“CCHP”)), resource recovery and secure power. In addition, our microturbines can be used as generators for hybrid electric vehicle applications. Microturbines allow customers to produce power on-site in parallel with the electric grid or stand alone. There are several technologies which are used to provide “on-site power generation”, also called “distributed generation,” such as reciprocating engines, solar power, wind powered systems and fuel cells. For customers who do not have access to the electric utility grid, microturbines can provide clean, on-site power with lower scheduled maintenance intervals and greater fuel flexibility than competing technologies. ... Capstone Turbine Corp., Q2 2010 Earnings Call, Nov-09-2009
Capstone Turbine Corp. announced that the company continues to expand its distribution network. NewLoop Energy will sell, install and service low-emission Capstone microturbines for use in hospitals, hotels, office buildings, manufacturers and other large commercial properties in Chicago, Northeastern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. NewLoop will focus on installations that use onsite power in a combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) or combined heating and power (CHP) application. In addition, NewLoop will work closely with landfills throughout the region interested in installing Capstone microturbines as a clean onsite energy source. Capstone microturbines use waste methane gas produced by decomposing garbage as fuel. Normally, landfills flare the waste methane, a greenhouse gas, into the atmosphere.
