O'Charley's Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended October 4, 2009. For the quarter, the company reported net loss attributable to common shareholders of $2.1 million or $0.10 per diluted share on revenues of $194.09 million against net loss attributable to common shareholders of $66.8 million or $3.29 per diluted share on revenues of $209.6 million a year ago. Although current economic conditions continue to limit its ability to project future sales performance, the company affirmed its previously-issued forecast for the fourth quarter of 2009, and stated that it expects total revenue of between $190 million and $195 million in the quarter, and a loss from operations of between $1 million and $4 million. The company expects most of its costs as a percent of sales to remain relatively constant in the fourth quarter of 2009 as compared to the third quarter of 2009.
