For the quarter, the company reported net income of $216.82 million or $0.46 per diluted share on total revenue of $695.14 million compared to net income of $136.81 million or $0.29 per diluted share on total revenue of $592.47 million for the same period a year ago. Operating income was $236.09 million compared to $159.58 million for the same period a year ago. Income before income taxes was $270.70 million compared to $178.87 million for the same period a year ago. On a non-GAAP basis net income was $259.84 million or $0.56 per diluted share compared to net income of $185.87 million or $0.40 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income increased 30% to $292 million For the nine months, the company reported net income of $522.53 million or $1.12 per diluted share on total revenue of $1,928.86 million compared to net loss of $1,384.39 million or $3.17 per diluted share on total revenue of $1,626.53 million for the same period a year ago. Operating income was $558.82 million compared to $1,329.76 million for the same period a year ago. Income before income taxes was $671.13 million compared to $1,268.25 million for the same period a year ago. On a non-GAAP basis net income was $681.01 million or $1.46 per diluted share compared to net income of $517.86 million or $1.13 per diluted share for the same period a year ago.
