Barloworld Ltd. announced that they will report first half 2, 2010 results on 05/10/2010

Nestle has selected Barloworld Ltd. Supply Chain Software for supply chain modelling, network design and optimisation. Barloworld Supply Chain Software will implement its CAST software on a global scale - a powerful, desktop based application to evaluate and identify different supply chain strategies, leading to cost savings and service improvements. Businesses using CAST typically achieve a 10-15% saving on their supply chain costs through the application of network optimisation. In addition, Barloworld Supply Chain Software will be providing ongoing support and training for the application.

Barloworld Ltd. reported audited consolidated earnings results for the full year ended September 30, 2009. For the year, the company reported net profit attributable to shareholders of ZAR 671 million or 319.6 cents per diluted share on revenue from continuing operations of ZAR 42,232 million compared to net profit attributable to shareholders of ZAR 1,232 million or 594.5 cents per diluted share on revenue from continuing operations of ZAR 46,830 million for the previous year. Net profit from continuing operations was ZAR 821 million or 358.6 cents per diluted share compared to net profit from continuing operations of ZAR 1,257 million or 600.3 cents per diluted share for the previous year. Operating profit was ZAR 1,994 million and profit before taxation of ZAR 1,026 million compared to Operating profit of ZAR 2,651 million and profit before taxation of ZAR 1,860 million for the previous year. Profit before exceptional items was ZAR 1,004 million compared to ZAR 1,877 million for the previous year. Cash retained from operating activities was ZAR 2,418 million and acquisition of other property, plant and equipment of ZAR 910 million compared to cash retained from operating activities of ZAR 1,359 million and acquisition of other property, plant and equipment of ZAR 973 million for the previous year. Headline earnings were ZAR 589 million or 280.5 cents per diluted share compared to headline earnings of ZAR 1,256 million or 606.1 cents per diluted share for the previous year. Headline earnings from continuing operations were ZAR 731 million or 348.1 cents per diluted share compared to headline earnings from continuing operations of ZAR 1,259 million or 607.6 cents per diluted share for the previous year. The board declared a final dividend of 70 cents per share for the year ended September 30, 2009 giving a total of 100 cents for the year. The dividend is payable on January 18, 2010 to shareholders of record date is on January 15, 2010. Shares trade ex dividend on January 11, 2010 and last day to trade cum dividend on January 8, 2010.
