Brinx Resources Ltd. reported that drilling of the OK-4 #1 well has reached total depth and that initial testing appears to indicate a significant new oil and gas discovery. Electric well logs and a drill stem test that flowed both oil and gas to the surface, indicate the strong likelihood that the OK-4 #1 will be another producing well for the company. Production casing has been set in preparation for completion of the well. The OK-4 #1 is the first well of a two well program targeting hydrocarbon bearing sands similar to that found at the company's successful 08-3 wells and the 09-3 wells.
Brinx Resources Ltd. announced unaudited earnings results for the first quarter ended January 31, 2010. For the quarter, the company reported natural gas and oil sales of $68,129 compared with 495,292 for the same period a year ago. Operating loss of $122,829 compared with operating income of $223,465 for the same period a year ago. Net loss of $121,538 or $0.005 per diluted share compared with net profit of $223,256 or $0.009 for the same period a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities of $108,345 compared with $6,896 for the same period a year ago.
Brinx Resources Ltd. reported that the company has elected to participate in the drilling of the first development well at the successful 09-3 Oklahoma Project. The development well is located directly offset the new oil and gas discovery well at 09-3 #1 and will test the same productive pay zones encountered previously in the 08-3 and 09-3 drill programs. Weather permitting, drilling of this well should start within the next 30 days. The 09-3 #1 discovery well was placed into production on January 22, 2010. The initial flow rates for the well were of 450 to 550 barrels of fluid per day with an oil cut ranging from 50 to 70% with natural gas production of over 400 mcf per day.
