Bion Environmental Technologies Inc. announced that effective October 1, 2009, Jere Northrop, a founder of the Company approximately 20 years ago, resigned his position as a Director of the Company. Mr. Northrop, age 67, will be available to provide consulting services to the Company on an 'as requested' basis through December 31, 2010.

Bion Environmental Technologies Inc. filed its 10-K on September 23, 2009 for the period ending June 30, 2009. In this report its auditor, GHP Horwath, P.C, gave an unqualified opinion expressing doubt that the company can continue as a going concern.

Bion Environmental Technologies Inc. announced that notification was received that its patent application entitled, 'Low Oxygen Organic Waste Bioconversion System' has been granted by the Mexican Patent Office. This will be the second Bion patent issued by Mexico. The patent provides widened protection for Bion's core biological waste management process in this active and rapidly expanding animal agriculture market. Bion's international intellectual property protection currently includes issued patents in the key markets of Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. In addition Bion has patents pending in the entire European Union, Brazil, and Argentina.
