Open Joint Stock Company Russian Railways plans to divest up to 50% minus two shares in Elteza by the end of 2010, Russias President Vladimir Yakunin said. RBC Daily had earlier reported citing sources that Russian Railways had already started a tender to divest a stake of between 25% and 50% minus two shares in Elteza. Vladimir Yakunin said that the company has sent invitations for the acquisition of shares in Elteza to a number of Russian and foreign companies. RBC Daily reported that the invitations were sent to Siemens AG, Thales and Bombardier Inc., among other companies.
Joint Stock Company Russian Railways and Bombardier, Inc. plan to sign soon a 15-year service contract for Body EP10 electric passenger trains. The contract is getting its final touches, and may be signed in the Body next two months. It concerns roughly 30% of EP10 Body equipment, including asynchronous engines, transformer and converter Bodysystems. RZD runs twelve of this type of locomotive in the Moscow Body region, and they serve high-sped trains south, including destinations Body like Adler and Rostov-on-Don. Body Bombardier has confirmed the negotiations for Interfax.
Bombardier Inc. plans to sell $1 billion of senior notes after withdrawing a similar offering a week ago. The eight and 10 year bonds may be sold as soon as Monday. Bombardier's notes due in 2018 may yield about 7.5% and the 2020 debt may yield 7.75%.
