Adanac Molybdenum Corporation announced that Mr. Christopher C. Kirby, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of the company, has resigned his position to pursue a new career opportunity. Mr. Kirby's resignation is effective September 30, 2009. Mr. Paul F. Nelson, a Director of Adanac, has been appointed the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2009. Mr. Nelson, who has been a Director of the Company since 2006, is a Chartered Accountant with extensive senior experience in the areas of corporate finance, strategic planning, controllership, treasury and restructuring. For over 20 years, Mr. Nelson held a number of senior positions in finance at Telus Corporation and since 2001 has been engaged in consulting in corporate finance issues.

Adanac Molybdenum Corporation Obtains Extension of Stay Period Under CCAA

Adanac Molybdenum Corporation announced that its application of July 3, 2009 to the Supreme Court of British Columbia for an order under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act to extend its creditor protection has been successful allowing the company to continue to restructure and continue to stay all claims and actions against the company and its assets. The July 3rd Order extends the stay period under CCAA until August 28, 2009, at which time the matter will be reviewed by the court.

Adanac Molybdenum Corporation has announced its final 2009 updated National Instrument 43-101 Mineral Resource Technical Report for the Ruby Creek molybdenum deposit located in northern British Columbia, Canada. The April 2009 Mineral Resource Report has reported a current estimated total of both measured and indicated resource categories, at a cut-off grade of 0.04% molybdenum (Mo), of 275.4 million tonnes grading 0.067% Mo and an inferred mineral resource of 39.1 million tonnes grading 0.062% Mo.
