Arcadis NV announced that the U.S. Air Force selected the company as a prime contractor on the $3 billion Worldwide Environmental Restoration and Construction 2009 program. The program is a five-year contract under which participants will provide environmental-remediation and site-cleanup services at Defense Department sites, mostly Air Force bases, worldwide.
Arcadis NV announced the nomination of Steven B Blake for appointment to its executive board and Armando R Perez for appointment to its supervisory board. Blake is currently the CEO of ARCADIS US Inc. He will combine his current role with his new position on the Executive Board and will also assume responsibility for the environmental business line of ARCADIS. Perez was an external member of the board of directors of Malcolm Pirnie until that company merged with Arcadis in July 2009. He has spent most of his professional career with Exxon and ExxonMobil in a number of senior managerial roles at the local, regional and global levels and has extensive international accomplishments.
