América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. announced its financial and operating results for the nine months to Sept. 30, 2009. In the nine months revenues reached MXN 287.6 billion, 14.5% more than a year before. EBITDA came in at MXN 118.1 billion, having risen 14.1% with respect to a year before. In the first nine months of the year net profits reached MXN 57.5 billion, 31.2% more than the previous year. In the nine months to September net debt was reduced by MXN 32.6 billion. Over the same period capital expenditures totaled MXN 25.5 billion. Operating profit totaled MXN 82.6 billion against MXN 73.01 billion for the same period a year ago.
America Movil S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings results for the third quarter ended September 2009. For the quarter, the company's net profit totaled MXN 18.7 billion ($1.4 billion) compared to MXN 12.4 billion during the same span of 2008. Net income per share rose 57.3% to MXN 0.57. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 15.9% to MXN 40.4 billion. The company reported its revenue was MXN 99.8 billion, a 16.9% jump from MXN 85.3 billion in the year-earlier period. The rise was led by a 19.5% increase in service revenue.
America Movil S.A.B. de C.V. has raised $750 million through a private placement of senior notes. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley acted as the joint book-running managers for the sale.
