Antisoma plc is looking for acquisition opportunities. CEO of Antisoma, Glyn Edwards said, We also think that the current financial climate is a great opportunity to further expand the Company, and we are very aggressively looking for acquisition opportunities, it is almost certain that any acquisition opportunity we find also comes with no cash, and so would be looking to shareholders to support us, if we find an acquisition. But we have had discussions with our key shareholders, and I'm absolutely confident if we find the right acquisition, we would be able to bring those in. As yet, we've not been able to find it, and the guidance I would give is don't be surprised if we do find the transaction in the next six to 12 months, but also don't be surprised if we are unable to find something that is good enough to add value to the excellent products that we already have.

For the period, the company has reported operating loss of GBP 21,337,000, loss before taxation of GBP 19,782,000 and loss of GBP 18,280,000 or 3.0 pence per diluted share compared to operating loss of GBP 14,469,000, loss before taxation of GBP 6,458,000 and loss of GBP 4,965,000 or 0.8 pence per diluted share on revenue of GBP 5,514,000 reported in the same period last year.
