For the quarter, the company reported consolidated revenues of $8.6 million compared to $11.0 million for the same period in 2008. This decrease is mainly related to lower royalty revenues having been recognized in 2009 in connection with the monetization of the royalties derived from the company's agreement with Merck Serono. Consolidated net loss was $11.3 million, or $0.19 per basic and diluted share, compared to $13.9 million, or $0.26 per basic and diluted share, for the same period in 2008. This decrease is mainly related to lower comparative R&D expenses, partially offset by lower comparative revenues, less cost of sales. Loss before income taxes was $11.3 million and loss from operations of $9.8 million compared to loss before income taxes of $13.7 million and loss from operations of $12.4 million for the same quarter a year ago. For the nine months, the company reported net loss of $36.8 million or $0.67 per basic and diluted share on revenue of $23.1 million compared to net loss of $45.3 million or $0.85 per basic and diluted share on revenue of $31.2 million for the same period a year ago. Loss before income taxes was $36.8 million and loss from operations of $35.5 million compared to loss before income taxes of $45.1 million and loss from operations of $46.1 million for the same period a year ago.
