UnderSea Recovery Corporation, (formerly Legal Access Technologies Inc.) announced that it is taking steps to meet its commitment under the License Agreement with Admiralty Holding Company to complete and test the ATLIS field units for use in its historic shipwreck search and recovery operations. The Company had licensed from Admiralty in perpetuity the exclusive worldwide rights to use the ATLIS technology, including the associated patent rights, in its search and recovery operations. The Company planned to improve the basic ATLIS technology and incorporate it into field units to be used in operations later 2009. The work has continued on improving ATLIS and an innovative housing and cabling system for the technology has been designed that will greatly enhance maneuverability, flexibility and functionality. The new design is both unique and proprietary.
Legal Access Technologies Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement with Admiralty Holding Company whereby it has licensed from Admiralty in perpetuity the exclusive worldwide rights to use the ATLIS Technology, including the associated patent rights, in its historic shipwreck search and recovery operations. The Company plans to improve the basic ATLIS Technology and incorporate the enhanced technology in filed units to be used in operations this year. The license requires the Company to pay a 10% royalty to Admiralty from net profits generated from projects in which the ATLIS Technology is utilized.
Admiralty Holding Company announced that it has received a fourth technology patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This patent covers additional techniques to increase the sensitivity of the ATLIS system by: phase shifting time segments of the transmitted signal; utilizing a synchronized clock to generate the system signals; using pulse width modulation to generate and shape the transmitted signal; and utilizing multiple resonant filters to increase the efficiency of the ATLIS system. Admiralty has pending an application for a fifth patent which will complete its initial patent filings which together cover all essential aspects of its proprietary ATLIS technology.
