AltiGen Communications Inc. reported un-audited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended September 30, 2009. Revenue for the fiscal 2009 fourth quarter was $4.9 million, compared to revenue of $5.1 million in the fourth quarter a year ago and up 20% sequentially from $4.1 million in the preceding quarter. Net loss for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009 was $729,000, or a loss of $0.05 per share, compared to a net loss of $810,000, or a loss of $0.05 per share, in the fourth quarter a year ago and a net loss of $945,000, or a loss of $0.06 per share, in the preceding quarter. Operating loss was $0.737 million compared to $0.890 million of previous year period. For the fiscal 2009 full-year, revenue was $17.4 million, compared to $18.9 million for fiscal 2008. Net loss for fiscal 2009 was $4.7 million, or a loss of $0.30, compared to a net loss of $3.9 million, or a loss of $0.25 per share, for fiscal 2008. Operating loss was $4.834 million compared to $4.252 million of previous year period.
AltiGen Communications Inc. announced that Fiserv Inc. is expanding its distribution agreement for AltiGen Unified Communications solutions from its credit union customers to now include its banking customers. Through its ConvergeIT(R) group, Fiserv has been selling the AltiGen Unified Communications solution to its credit union customers, marketed under the name of the ConvergeIT(R) telephony suite. With more than 250 credit union customers having already successfully deployed the AltiGen solution, the ConvergeIT(R) telephony suite will now also be sold to Fiserv banking customers. The ConvergeIT(R) suite has been developed to specifically address the unique requirements of financial institutions. The solution, based upon AltiGen's Unified Communications software platform, delivers a single integrated system for IP Telephony and Call Center capabilities, tightly integrated with Fiserv core processing solutions.
AltiGen Communications Inc. announced its successful integration into the emergency command center of the safety inspection bureau platform in Jiangsu Province, Nanjing. Until now, the safety platform and PBX worked as two distinct systems, but both are vital in the emergency process. With AltiGen's all-software platform and open systems approach, the team was able to integrate the emergency command center with all VoIP communications. The entire system now uses AltiGen's new Max Communications Server (MaxCS), coupled with its powerful integrated Call Center software engine. The MaxCS solution includes IP-PBX, CTI, ACD, IVR and system management functions. With the AltiGen MaxCS software suite, the command center has been able to streamline its communications while improving service to the community. The command center has also taken advantage of the MaxCS integrated MeetMe Conference Bridge, which allows the emergency response staff to instantly hold a conference call. Now, regardless of location or mobile device, staff members are able to immediately discuss effective countermeasures and dispatch emergency rescue personnel to the scene.
